Early this month I joined LaTonya and Johnathan on the beaches of South Haven for their wedding and beach wedding photography. We also did some trash the dress style photos at a local abandoned factory which worked out great on the sunny holiday weekend.
They all got together in a beach house to get ready. One of the groomsmen runs a barber shop in the Austin Texas area and was giving the guys all fresh cuts while LaTonya’s high school friend was doing professional make-up for everyone of the girls! This is a great time to shoot details along with the getting ready photos and the results were obvious.
Sometimes when there’s not enough time on a wedding day, we schedule a second day shoot like a Trash The Dress session to get more shots that we didn’t get an opportunity to shoot on the day of the ceremony. We didn’t “trash the dress” per say, but we did some great textures often absent from traditional wedding photography.
