With an establishment so rich in history and beautiful it’s great to have another Kent Country Club Wedding for beautiful pictures and people like Andrew and Emily! There’s a cool feeling with everyone I’ve ever met there from the couple weddings I’ve done before, the families who have us photographing them there, and the events where we’ve had the PartyBooth running so doing wedding pictures at Kent Country Club easier than ever.
I was lucky that Andrew and Emily knew our previous clients Jamie and Jessica from their awesome Kent Country Club wedding a few years ago since they helped us to connect. Kent Country Club, although rich in history and beauty, has done some wonderful renovations just since our last events there. Their staff is experienced and always graciously helpful!
What was especially awesome was that everyone was able to get ready at KCC before we headed down to their church for their ceremony which made it very comfortable for the wedding party and great for us photographically!
The weather held out long enough to do the First Look right outside their patio. The first look is a great way to either utilize the hours of your wedding day more efficiently or help to relax the couple before their ceremony. It still never robs the couple of the anticipation or surprise seeing each other as the bride comes walking down the aisle and in this case really saved us since it was raining very hard when we returned from the ceremony (which left us very little time to get outdoor photos in daytime light).
After doing all the family photos inside their beautiful family room, we finally had a break in the rain and could run out for a little bit of fun on the course (sorry to the guys playing up to the 18th hole ;-).
The set-up is unique where there’s a beautiful formal dining room for toasts, cake, dinner, and socializing. The dancing and band are on their nice sunroom conveniently by the bar, patio, and away from the dining room. Kent Country Club offers a lot of great spots for people to hang out just out of the dancing room and this is great for us to get some quick portraits when requested! If you’re super cool, you’ll even step into the Gerald R Ford room dedicated to the 38th President for good reason (My wife waited on them while working there over 20 years ago).
We wouldn’t be able to tell a great story without a great “The End” shot like this. We always look for new and creative ways to create a closing shot and although we expected to have a hyper speed rain shot, Mother Nature gifted Emily and Andrew with rain stopping moments before we took this shot!
No one puts the energy into a wedding day quite like we do and you’ll see how well we can stay standing and energized for a long day which is how we tell our story. You’ll see from the rest of our website where the camera has brought us but don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your wedding day by clicking the “contact” link above.
We look forward to talking to you soon but please don’t be afraid on posts that contain photos you love. See another Kent Country Club Wedding with Emily and Andrew.
